His Holiness Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda started his peace tour in Ukraine on May 25. His Holiness Swamiji arrived to Kiev, Ukraine on Monday and gave an evening lecture in Cherkassy Drama Theatre in front of 600 people.
With the peace lime tree Maribor joined six Slovene towns, Ljubljana, Kranj, Novo mesto, Piran, Celje and Domžale, where H. Holiness Swamiji already planted the trees as a symbol of peace endeavours, which are a part of a wider project - peace in humans, peace among people, peace among all living beings, peace in the world.
A "World Peace Mammut Tree" in Linz, Austria was planted in a beautiful ceremony in presence of Town Councillor Mrs. Susanne Wegscheider and 1st Secretary of the Indian Embassy at Vienna, Mr. Aggarwal.
On 15 May 2009, the Federal Province and the City of Salzburg, Austria, bestowed extraordinary honours and acknowledged H. H. Swamiji's longlasting and outstanding efforts for good health, protection of the environment and world peace in Salzburg, in Austria and worldwide.
